Talk about a walk down memory lane. The other day I suddenly remembered that there had been a two-episode web series about tranny vampires called Lost Girls. Originally released around Halloween in 2001, back when I was living in Vancouver, the Lost Girls is currently still available online and in true 2001-era web the video size is tiny.
The third season of Teen Wolf (MTV’s reboot of the 80s classic) kicks off in a few months, but highlights have been floating around for a few months, including the casting of twins Charlie and Max Carver as Ethan and Aiden. Charlie and Max were previous in Desperate Housewives, but what’s great about their roles in Teen Wolf is that one of them will be a love interest for Danny, the out gay classmate and co-captain of the Lacrosse team.
With the rise of Kickstarter, allowing crowd funding for virtually everything, it has crossed my mind to become a film maker and create a good gay vampire film (I just don’t know any willing local actors). So somehow I missed the funding drive for Kissing Darkness last summer. I would have happily backed the project knowing I’d be helping a gay vampire film get made. While it didn’t reach it’s goal, Kissing Darkness has been made and is currently in post-production.
I can’t wait until Monday. The next Twinklight video will be released then. Starring new comer to Twinklight Tanner Kinsington and regular Jason Alcok (who must really like being bitten). Tanner is normally along side his real life boyfriend (if that’s to be believed) Evan Lee, and we’ll see that pair together next month. But in this episode Tanner has fallen for Jason as he reminds him of one of his hottest boys. The preview suggests there will be biting, and we have pictures.
This is my annual, what do you want out of gaymalevampire.com post. I’m on the constant lookout for anything related to gay vampires but less and less is available, especially films. There has been a surge in ebooks, and to be honest I’ve slightly avoided cataloging what is out there (a lot) because so far interest in gay vampire fiction has been pretty low. I could expand the site and include more ‘straight’ vampire content, or continue my infrequent updates when there is something worth sharing about gay vampires. Do you have any thoughts?
The last Twinklight video was released on February 24, and it was this missing episode. The previous video, episode 35 starred Tanner Shane and Dylan Chambers was it seems the last in the series. Over a month has lapsed since the missing episode and now nearly two whole months since Tanner bit Dylan, yet I know I’ve been billed for two months without a new video. So I’m now asking dear reader (rather rhetorically), has Twinklight ended?
Only last week in my review of the latest Twinklight episode in which twink vampire Dylan Chambers seduces and bites Tanner Shane, I also wrote about the missing Twinklight video. Twinklight episodes are often out of sequence, but we were getting further away from number 31. Well it seems the wait is finally over.
Two weeks ago Twinklight released a disappointing new episode, yet another no-fang/no-biting video. But thankfully yesterday the episode vanished and was replaced with the proper vampire video. Now vampire Tanner Shane is ready to seduce, bite and turn young Dylan Chambers.
For the first time in over a year two Twinklight episodes will be released in the same month and just under the wire. Twinklight has been making regular instalments of the gay vampire series about every 3 weeks, so when the last video dropped on January 5 I was expecting one more in January. Of course this is cutting it.
We don’t have all the details yet, but the next Sodom Vampire love ball will be Saturday, February 16 in Toronto, Canada. So if you want to go, now’s the time to book your flights & hotels, and prepare your fangs.
The Sodom site will have the details in due course (probably mid-January).
