VD vs. TB
**How lame is Vampire Diaries? VD vs. TB, no interruptions versus several hiatus breaks. As one series ends, the other gets set to begin, and Teen Wolf is back too but not corrupted like all the vampire series.**
Now that the Vampire Diaries has ended its’ third season, we have the latest season of True Blood to look forward to (and Teen Wolf). I’ve written many times about how Vampire Diaries has dragged on, diverged from the books, teased us that gay characters would be added and included more werewolves than the original. One frustrating aspect of the traditional broadcasting schedule for Vampire Diaries has been the breaks and repeating hiatus. Compare this to HBO shows like True Blood, and on other networks Being Human and Teen Wolf, where the entire season is shown almost without interruption. This is the best way to broadcast a season, keeping the audience focused week after week then wrapping up the storyline neatly before ending with enough of a cliff-hanger to sustain the wait to the next season.
There’s a lot of look forward to with True Blood, including the return of the gay vampire King Russell and rumors of a sub-story where a gay vampire takes an interest in Jason Stackhouse (formerly anti-vampire Reverend Steve).
